SUCCESS! NOTHING LESS!
Admissions
Enrollment
-
Entry into Nyasha Junior School is by merit after the child demonstrates school readiness. To enroll into the school, readiness testing is carried out by the school. Applications are accepted without any discrimination of colour or creed.
-
Registration forms can be filled in at the office or downloaded and then physically handed in to the receptionist together with 2 PASSPORT size photos, a sight of the ORIGINAL birth certificate plus two copies for our records. A small registration fee is charged. Acceptance of the application form does not denote offer of a place.
-
The child will be called to attend a School Readiness Test at a set date. Successful candidates will be offered a place and a deposit will be required to secure the place.
Attendance & Punctuality
-
Full attendance and punctuality is recommended as this does not disrupt the child’s learning and development.
-
A daily register is taken, so if your child is unable to attend school for any reason, please contact the secretary on the day and a message will be passed on to the teacher concerned. An excuse note from the parent/guardian is required the day the child resumes lessons. If the child is absent due to illness for more than two days, then a doctor’s note is required.
-
Please note the same applies for sports activities. An excuse note is expected for any PE lesson or afternoon activity that is missed. Should the child not be able to attend sport for an extended period of time, a doctor’s note is required.
-
Please ensure that your child is punctual in the morning. It is very important that parents picks up their children on time after school to avoid distressing the child.
Fees
-
Fees for the term are due and payable on or before the first day of that term, which is in accordance with the contract signed by the parent/guardian on the Acceptance of Entry.
-
If the parent/guardian is not in a position to make a once off payment, authority to pay in installments should be sought with the school authorities.
-
The Head or Acting Head shall have the right to suspend or exclude the child if, following a reminder, monies due are not paid in full forthwith. No relaxation, extension of time or indulgence which the school may grant shall in any way constitute a waiver of the school’s fees right in this regard.
-
Fees for the coming term are invoiced and sent out by email or by hand in the care of your child a week before the end of each term. If you have not received your invoice by the last day of school, please contact the School.
